Does anyone have a parts breakdown picture for the P-15 horn button? My book doesn't show the P-15 set up. I think everything is there, but I can't tell what to hook my horn ground wire to. The previous owner had no wire in the steering shaft and an aftermarket button under the dash.

On a side note I found a windshield washer, vacuum switch (dash button) in one of my buckets-o-treasures. If I keep looking I might just find a Jiffy Jet bottle in one of those!

Maybe this will help. For Special Deluxe. Wire goes down thru steering

column and out a hole at the bottom end. I ran a heavy wire thru first

to pull horn wire.

Dan if you can find an old fashioned rivet to solder onto the end that should replace it nicely.

The kind you hit with a hammer are. At least around here they are kinda hard to find

Oh I know where to find them locally. Just not available everywhere. Ya I have ordered a few times from mcmaster. In fact I still need to send you some of those 90 degree wiring terminals from my last order!

I was wondering what happened to those.

See the thread about South Dakota if you are wondering what happened to them

My horn wire broke just below the terminal under the button.

I just crimped on a ring terminal bent the ring portion over 90 degrees then reinstalled the button. Works great.

Gents,

Rivets like that never went out of fasion in boat building. Any marine supply house should have them by the pound, but it might be easier to crimp a spent case from a .22 short.
