Merle Coggins Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Congratulations, you just did it. Now, tell us more about you and your truck. Welcome, Merle Quote
JJs 1948 Posted May 30, 2008 Author Report Posted May 30, 2008 I have a 1948 B-1-B. Little over half way finished to restoration. Bought as a basket case and also have a parts truck. I have some extra parts that I see people need and will let you know when I will post them on Ebay. I live in S.E. Michigan and would like to see a finished B-1-B to help me finish mine. Anyone around Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, please let me know. I am at work now so will have to talk more at a later time. Thanks for your welcome. Reg helped me to become a member. This site is a great find but I am not very experienced with anything else like this except Ebay. Expensive bad habit there! Quote

Don Coatney Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Welcome JJ; Where in Michigan do you live? I have a son in Fort Wayne and visit him a couple times a year. Quote
JJs 1948 Posted May 30, 2008 Author Report Posted May 30, 2008 I live in Adian, Michigan. Ft. Wayne is about a 3 to 4 hour drive from my house. I will be going to Indianapolis June 7&8th to visit some friends. One thing I do have possibly for your type of vehicle is a very nice completely rebuilt Spitefire flat head six from a 48 Chrysler Winsdor I used to own. Don't remember the cu. inches. Thought it might work for my 48 B-1-B pickup but stayed with the truck engine. Professionaly rebuilt, 30 thousands over new pistons, everything else in the motor has been replaced with new or redone. Don't have any plans to own a Chrysler car so its been sitting in a climate controlled shop for about 5 years. Quote
