p15estep Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 sirs; what is that piece of chrome trim called that runs under the grille out under and past the parking lights. is that a part of the grille trim package or something else? thanks for the help Quote
oldmopar Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 its part of the grill the grill is made up of large and small grill bars. I do not have my parts manual with me right now but the only way I can think of to name it is to call it the large grill bar under the parking lights as have already stated . each bar does have a seperate part number Quote
David Maxwell Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 The grill on the P15 is nickle plated without chrome. I discovered this when I was buffing all my stainless. I figured it was stainless also, but quickly discovered it wasn't responding to the buffer in the same manner. Funny thing is, the plating shops will charge you more to finish it in nickle as opposed to chrome even though the chroming includes a three stage copper/nickle/chrome plating. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 That is interesting David, I was always under the impression that the grilles in the P15 and D24s were stainless. Quote

I will have to disagree with you == it depends on where the part was made -- for exampplet the trim that came from the evansville indiana plant was stainless--some of the out sourced trim was like you said nickel plated-- Quote
