I'm reinstalling my fresh engine and ran into a small problem yesterday.

When I took the engine to the machine shop I left the fluid drive attaced to the rear of engine as I was not sure how to remove. Turns out it was pretty simple just a bunch of nuts to the end of the crankshaft.

Anyways when the machine shop removed it they did not mark the position of the fluid drive unit in relation to the crank.

Now on re-assembly I notice there are weights on the fluid drive unit...and I'm thinking "OH NO" ......

The question for more experienced than I: AM I GOING TO HAVE AN OUT OF BALANCE SITUATION WHEN I START THE ENGINE.......IF SO DO I NEED TO TEAR EVERYTHING OUT AND REPOSITION FLUID DRIVE TO ENGINE ONE BOLT AT A TIME and THEN RECHECK FOR BALANCE WHEN DRIVING? THIS WILL TAKE YEARS AT THE RATE I MOVE...IM JUST SICK OVER THIS....

Any and all input would be much appreciated....I'm really mad cuz I thought I was paying attention to everything and doing everything perfect.....

Don is correct, it'll only go on one way. Also, those weights that you see are to balance the fluid drive unit by itself. As long as it's still in balance it shouldn't effect your engine balance.

:) you guys are great...and your wisdom is much appreciated. I was wondering why i had a hard time getting it on..thought it was just me holding all that weight and trying to align it.....

THANK YOU
