55 Fargo Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I think someone should revive the Rambler, now that was a name for the a car for the common man...........Fred PS, when I was a kid in grade school, one of my little buddies Dad had a 1963 Studebaker, he called it a Stupidbaker, we were in grade 1 or grade 2 at the time Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 I can see why they would call them Stupidbaker, man I am having a time building that car. One thing after another. I like the Rambler name and liked the cars they were very durable, we had friends with them however we would not use his mom's car when we were trying to pick up chicks, the car was butt ugly. unless the girls were even uglier:cool: this is why I was always good to my uncles so I could get their cars...two dr hardtops and red:cool: YEAH! Quote
50PlymouthSled Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Hahaha. Stupidbaker, I gotta remember that. Quote

Don Coatney Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Don't know why but we always called then "bacco cans" when I was a kid. Thats "bacco cans" as in Prince Albert Tobacco which came in red cans with a picture of the Prince on the front. Guess I have a good selection of Studebaker cans:D My dad smoked Prince Albert in his pipe all of his life. And I now do the same. Quote
james curl Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 When I smoked I used a Falcon pipe with the screw on bowl and smoked only Prince Albert, but I stopped in 1968. I finally threw away the pipe, pouch and the remains of a large can about two years ago, fiogured I was through with it. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Posted April 5, 2008 Hey Don, do you have Prince Albert in a can.......you better let him out, he can't breathe:o oldest joke in the book. What does Studebaker have to do with Prince Albert? Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 Rodney; There are so many names for South Bend Vibrators I have lost track. When do you plan on having your Conestoga Carryover completed? Do you think Clement, Henry, J.M., Peter, and Jacob would approve the red paint? Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Posted April 5, 2008 I don't know when this thing will wrap up, as for the brothers Studebaker, the red paint stays. Who cares their dead and stinking . Quote
