Joe Flanagan Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Well, I can vouch for Apple Hydraulics. They resleeved my master cylinder and did a nice job. They were prompt about it, too. Here is how it looked when I sent it to them: For 85 bucks they resleeved it and that includes postage. I didn't know they were going to bead blast it and paint it too. Here's how it looked when I got it back: Tomorrow I'll post contact information for them. After a week had gone by, I called them and I kind of expected the runaround. They told me it was on a FedEx truck in my town and they gave me the tracking number. Arrived today and I thought they'd sent me a new one by mistake. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Did you push the pedal pivot pin out, or did they? It sure is good looking work. Quote
curtiswyant Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Wow, looks like a much more attractive option than buying new ($200)! Quote
Don Coatney Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Joe; That is pretty. I may send one of my spares just so I have a good replacement on the shelf. Quote
billwillard Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 I have had them done by White Post in Va. and they did a great job to. Quote
JerseyHarold Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 I had Apple sleeve the master in my '52 back in the '90's. They are on Long Island not too far from my in-laws, so I dropped it off at their shop then had a relative pick it up after it was done. I, too, was impressed with the work. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 Neil, I pushed the pivot pin out myself. Finding the bushing for the brake pedal is proving near impossible. Quote

Rodney Bullock Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Hey Joe, That MC looks nice, I have dealt with them before however it had to do with knee action shocks. I had a guy go down to Leon's today and had him look at the 49 down there, will give you a repor tomorrow:) What is this part you said you are having trouble finding? Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted February 16, 2008 Author Report Posted February 16, 2008 Rodney, I'm looking for seats. I believe I need a hood emblem too. Also might need the chrome trim that goes on the inside door panels, the thin strip that separates the red leather from the fabric. I appreciate any info. Earlier in the week I was thinking about going down to Leon's on Saturday but it looks like it's going to be pretty cold and I don't feel like freezing my butt off down there. Figured I'd rather be comfortable so I can enjoy one of my favorite things in the world: Wandering through a junkyard. Are you looking for anything down there? Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Joe, I need to check this site more often, A friend of mine went down on friday, I spent friday helping the body man strip my fender and work on the door sil of the studebaker, on Saturday the junkyard day is cut a little short, we would have to get there very early because I think he closes at 2:00. My friend only had 2 hours when he went on Friday because it's a one man show if he has to tow a car either he will lock you in until he returns or you leave. when we go we will just be looking for things for you because I have gotten all I need from there however you just never know, sometimes I collect stuff that I don't need. I like to get headliner bows and the interior light out of cars, I think some day that stuff will be worth something. let's pick a day so we have some time to look for you some seats. I friend told me the 49 was on the back side and the mud was so bad he could not get to it friday. question for the forum...would the 1947 four door seats fit a 1949? Quote
