47heaven Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Hey...would anybody know what size pin screws go through the side of the doors to hold the door locks in place? Mine have walked away and I have the locks rekeyed and ready to install. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Pretty sure they are #10 but I cant recall if they are fine or course thread. I'm thinking fine thread though. Quote
teardrop puller Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Isn't everything fine thread? kai Quote
47heaven Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 If unsure' date=' take the lock to the hardware store with you and fit a screw for it.[/quote']I can't do that because the pin screw pushes up against the cylinder housing to hold it tight. It doesn't screw into it. The threaded hole is in the side of the door. Quote
Normspeed Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Darin, does it look like there are still threads in the hole? Seems like the old screws were spinning pretty freely but not grabbing, when we tried to drill one out. I picked up some nice 10/32 stainless button head (allen) machine screws at a hardware store. If you don't find any, I'll give ya a couple. I bought some to replace the slotted hex head self threaders that Moon provided with the disks. For some odd reason, the first one I tried immediately cross threaded so I just put them aside. How's that wolf whistle doing? Quote
