Don Coatney Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 On the news it says you got 3 feet of snow today. Are you still alive? You should follow the link in my signature line to Lisa's real estate company. There are some HOT properties available here in Tennessee. This is no snow country. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Don, that sounds like shameless promotion to me. I also remember a picture you posted some time ago that showed it snowing outside through your garage window. That said, while you may not have very much snow in the winter, the summers are way too HOT Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 21, 2008 Author Report Posted January 21, 2008 Norm; Plug, yes. Shamless, no. You too are welcome to come on down. We have both long and short driveways here to best tickle your fancy:D Quote
greg g Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Well we got exactly 0 snow, however a city about 15 north of us got just a bit over three feet, and a city about 7 miles north of that got 26 inches. Fulton is under a state of emergency and their DPW garage roof collapsed from the weight of the snow, trapping their 2 large snowblower vehicles inside. My lawn is devoid of snow, and the forcast calls for just scattered flurries. Just depends on the direction of the wind. The lake effect band that dumped all that snow was only abour 8 miles wide, and dumped all that snow over the course of 8 to 10 hours. News just said the accumulation was 48 inches. http://www.9wsyr.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=5ce44aa4-1e41-4752-8e24-59bf68afc179 Quote
PatS.... Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Based on the news we get from the States, there are thousands of free houses:eek: I know it's not true, but is it really as bad as we are led to believe? Quote
greg g Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 probably actually worse for as many home as there are in forclosure there are likely 4X as many in arears by several months. and the banks that bundled these loans as security notes and sold them off to other institutions, sold what is basically a pig in a poke. Now banks are looking for forign currency to bail them out and keep them liquid. Pssst!!!! Hey Buddy, wanna buy a bank???? Got a few Loonies to spare??? Help a brother out will ya??? Quote
