Balancer, crank pully and front motormount

S.O.S  I hired a mobile mechanic to replace my front main seal.  He disappered with a bunch of my parts.  His tools are still here. I theorize He took the parts home to paint, as he has with other parts. I havent heard from him for over a week and the guy who suggested him to me thinks "He might be in jail". His tools are still here so I am not sure what gives.

I am trying to source 1 harmonic balancer, One Crank Pulley (5/8 groove)  one "Motor mount" (The inverted U shaped piece that bolts in front of the timing cover) for a 1946 Plymouth Special Deluxe with a 218 Flathead six and a three speed transmition.

Any help would be appriciated!

Holy cow, might be in jail!
lol, what kinda operation are you Washingtonians running up there!

If someone else doesn’t jump in I will measure the pulley I have tomorrow (no promises) as for the motor mount it’s probably not the same as what the trucks use.

and next time let’s look for the ankle bracelets before we outsource our work 😂

Hi There - what part of Washington are you in?  I am located in Lynden, close to the Canadian border.

If you are familiar with my electro-mod conversion on this site, you will know I have pretty much pulled my entire chassis and running gear to replace with, shall we say, more modern technology.  While I am not ready to rid myself of the chassis, as parts of it may still be needed on my project, I am willing to part out the mechanical stuff.

It is a 1950 P19.

I am in Longview, 35 miles north of the Oregon border.

I would be interested in your harmonic Balancer, and possibly the crank pulley. As stated above I need a pulley for a 5/8 belt (Just measure the gape in the pulley)

Too bad you are not closer.  All those parts are unfortunately on the derelict engine.  I would give them to you if you were to come up here and remove them yourself.  As it is, they are currently buried under parts removed from both the Plymouth and the Lexus.   More than shown in pic as more is being added every week!

Planning any northern expeditions soon?

Thank for the offer! Normally I would be all for it.  However with my car down, I am kinda relying on the generosity of others.  A long trip like that is a serious ask and I cant say for sure that I will be able to come up with "a ride".

Thanks again!

The Portland swap meet is coming up.  I have gone to it the last 3 out of 4 years, renting a VRBO in Vancouver with a bunch of guys.  But not this year.  Otherwise, I could deliver it, although you would probably get the whole engine as I really don't want to do the disassembly!  I will keep you in mind before I part it out, although when the time comes, I will want to have it all gone, not just pieces.

Good luck on your search and hopefully, your wayward mechanic will return to finish what he started!

I would be very much interested anyways, always good to have a spare engine to rebuild on the side. just let me know!

Sorry outfxd, mine didn’t measure up.
thought I had a pulley from a 218 but, I can’t locate it and the one from a 230 isn’t the right size for you.
