Guest G Wellman Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I have a factory dual carb/dual exhaust 251 engine I would like to sell. I am asking $2500. Even if you are not interested in this engine, check out my website to see what it looks like. These were very cool and quite unusual engines. They saw duty in mid sized Dodge trucks in the early 50s, mostly in the 265 cu in displacement version. This is complete including the impossible to find linkage. I could deliver anywhere in Michigan and a few other nearby areas. If you want a cool engine in your P-15 (or other car) you can't beat a hopped up factory engine. See my web page with pics and more info at: (copy and paste this in, it's complicated!) http://web.mac.com/gwellman/iWeb/Site%202/Library%204.html Quote
Normspeed Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 That's a neat looking engine. How many miles since it was gone through? Quote
Young Ed Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 It does look cool but there is no way I'd pay that much money for an engine I couldn't hear run and from someone else who hasnt had it running. Suggest you build a test stand so people can hear it. Don C has a picture of his on some 4x4s or something similar Quote
Normspeed Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Yeah, I was just curious though. It would look so good in that 41 Plymouth coupe that I also don't have and can't afford Quote
Don Jordan Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 How do you adjust the valves? Do you have to take the manifolds off? It looks sort of busy in that area. I always chuckle when you see a picture of an engine out side the car and then when it's in the car you can't reach anything. Is that yellow a stock color? Quote
