maok Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) Like here Australia, many mopars in the 1920's and 30's were bodied outside of the USA and Canada. This '38 Desoto, though its labelled as a '37, probably a '37 production chassis. Wonderful coach work. Edited December 8, 2023 by maok 2 Quote
Bob Riding Posted December 8, 2023 Report Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) Here's another Chrysler influence: Peugeot's design for it's cars and trucks from 1935-1949 - the 402, 302 and 202. My friend purchased a 1948 Peugeot 202 UH -U stood for "utility" and H was for hydraulic brakes. The style of the body was directly modeled on the 1934 Chrysler Airflow. In 1934 Peugeot bought one or two Airflows to disassemble and study. I'm helping him restore it to stock. Edited December 8, 2023 by Bob Riding 2 Quote
SteveR Posted December 9, 2023 Report Posted December 9, 2023 A 1937 Plymouth P4 in England was called a Chrysler Wimbledon. It was R.H. drive, fender side lights, a leather interior with a fancier surround on the side windows 1 Quote
