lonejacklarry Posted October 5, 2023 Report Posted October 5, 2023 Like the title says I'm looking for the hard black rubber trim piece that "sweeps" the outside of the truck glass as it goes up or down. Maybe it didn't start out as hard rubber but 70 years on it is pretty hard. It has a weird profile and looks to have been bolted in place. The piece I have is only about 3" long. What I need is the part number and/or real name of the pieces. As a bonus I would like to know where a pair are available for sale. Thanks very much! lonejacklarry North Port, FL Quote
kencombs Posted October 8, 2023 Report Posted October 8, 2023 You have the term correct. I haven't bought any yet but a search for 'window sweep' will get a lot of hits. Add a vehicle name gets closer to what you need. Interesting that Caterpillar sells bulk sweep and seals at decent rates. and knowing cat, they would be high quality,if one of the profiles works for you. Quote
lonejacklarry Posted October 9, 2023 Author Report Posted October 9, 2023 Thanks, Ken. I found that DCM Classics had them. I needed a bunch of stuff so the shipping came back to earth. How are things in Oklahoma? Quote

Body/bed in primer ready for final coat and sanding before paint. Power steering almost done, needs final welding on mount and double d shaft to column installed. Then I can paint and start assembly.
