Road trip coming home

After spending over 3 weeks near Milwaukee helping the mother in law I drove home alone westward taking I-80 dn to I-70 and then dropping to I-25 home to near Albuquerque. Highlights were passing the many John Deere dealerships in small towns where I bought a tube of corn head grease. Also at the beginning of the trip a sighting of an early pilot house in Santa Rosa, NM in a field.  Just leaving Limon, Colorado going to Colorado Springs heading hm on Hwy 24 a really nice ‘41 Ford pu was heading east bound and what followed it ?  A lowered custom early pilot house with a loud hemi still in its rust red primer.  I could hear it passing me. Man it was hot in Kansas 2 days ago. The temp sensor in the car read up to 98.  Last week of September?!?  Man. I’m typing this all out of order but I guess I’m tired from that trip.  Too good to not report.  I also enjoyed seeing the fall colors starting up north and all the combines working the fields.  Never saw so many. Great stuff

Lol, just missed you… we flew into Denver on 9-28, rented a car, bee bopped around Co Springs, Divide, drove up Pikes Peak, royal gorge bridge (all that tourist stuff ?) I saw a lot of old cars and trucks on the road as well. Road trip back home to Oregon in the rental car…..

That’s a nice shot of Laramie at sunset ?  Seems Fall is short this year.  Already a cold front roaring into me and almost freezing temps. I’m about 6800 ft.   Huge winds last 2 days.  Had to pull the battery real quick outta the p-23 today as its outside and put it in the shed and onto the trickle charger.  I just know that a cold spell will weaken that battery.
