OUTFXD
I got the alternator wired yesterday. Today a new problem crept up. Thus is my life. I started her up on her own power after sitting all night. Went to move her. Pushed down the clutch, Put her in reverse, Let out the clutch... aaaand the clutch didnt follow my foot. Instead preffering to stay about 1/2 the way up. I tried a couple more times. it would rise SLOWLY from the floor and stop about half way. I could pull it up with my toe but that made finessing the clutch impossible. Feels to me like a linkage problem. I cant find my service manual and a google search turned up nothing. Well not quite true. It turn up six pages of results. half the first page where on sales that had nothing to do with my car. I went through pages of actual clutch problems and gave up. Time to ask the experts! What is wrong and how do I fix it?
Sniper
Had the same issue on my 51, greased up all the pivot points, there are fittings for it. Worked it back and forth and no more slow return.
