razor blades is fast and effective but work best only on original finish..seems later applied paint just is not as smooth to use the blade...I stripped my Austin, Porsche and couple Sunbeams that way...it is faster than most would think..try it sometime...I just NEVER use a grinder for any reason

That guy is in real trouble. Where is OSHA? He has no hard hat, knee pads, foot protectors, elbow protectors, no safety glasses with side shields, no splash goggles, no rubber gloves, no chemical resistant boots and no chemical resistant apron or respirator.

Gents,

My '48 P-15 is in my driveway for the duration, and that's the method I'm using. Just wish I had more free time to use it because it goes through five or six coats amazingly fast.

when using the stripper..it the can does not say DANGER..FLAMABLE it is not good stripper I have found...

Second note..do control where the stripper goes..I have heard horror stories of stripper getting inside areas only later to get get wet, activate, leach out and destroy a paint job..very much like the use of brazing rods growing hair beneath the finish after the fact..is true, will happen..but in reality I think the stripper one is more related to complete immersion stripper..but be careful anyway..I try to keep it in atad from the edges and joint..let the DA do that small amount of work..getting paint off is easy..the process of work to get to where you can spray it back on is the killer...

Rockwood

Rust is terrible on the beach where I live. Having said that, the car is a Texas car. I can not even find an extra engine down here. I have no idea what happened to all the old stuff in Mexico.

Today it is kind of just right temp. about 80 and sunny.

Kai, suppose the salt air and moisture right on the waterfront will do it's damage.

I remember going with my family to Tijuana, in about 1973, we were riding in taxis, a lot of them were 50s cars, as a kid I was in my glory.........Fred
