My old 41 Plymouth is missing the end piece that goes against the clutch fork that screws on the rod. Can I make something to substitute or can I buy a replacement. Not having any luck finding one. Thanks for any help.

If you have access to a lathe or are good with an angle grinder you could make up something that works maybe using a nut for the threaded end welded onto a piece fo thick walled tube that you grind into a taper.........the original piece has an internal thread, I think from memory 3/8" UNF thread and a cone shaped end that matches the tapered hole in the clutch fork...........it has to be a fairly precise fit as you don't want it to spring out from the fork although the rod is held against the fork by the clutch return spring..........how come your piece is lost?.............lol............andyd

You could make a replacement with a coupling nut, a bolt with the head ground off and a lock nut. That’s what my P15 parts book would replicate. I don’t know what a 41 clutch rod looks like. I put the MC rod in the picture for reference to rounding off the bolt head. Rick D.
