PatS....
Clenet? http://us.1.p.geocities.com/clenet132/ Chassis is 80' Lincoln or Cougar, cockpit is MG Midget, Built in Santa Barbra CA by Alain Clenet
greg g
The main body piece is a late MG midget, or Sprite MK III that is where the 3 windshild wipers come from. They used the cowl, windshield and doors then built the rest around it. The chassis I believe was T bird or small Lincoln (Varsailles??) They were made to be Jaguar X100 or Mercedes clones in the late 70's to early 80's. Usually a ford 5.0 under the hood with c4 trans.
Normspeed
I've never seen one. Were the fenders and running boards steel or glass? That website is neat. I bookmarked it for later reading.

splat1955
I lived in Santa Barbara and Goleta from '74 to '79.....I remember these getting pumped out on a regular basis....you'd see them all over the place. Seems like all the " well to do " in Santa Barbara had one. Anytime I saw one parked somewhere, I'd go and take a look at it....they were some pretty cool rides in that day. BobT-47P15
Looks like this vehicle has had a sorta rough life. Seats are bad, couple wheel centers missing, left horn broken, paint faded, etc. It's sitting by an auto repair shop, so may be up for some repairs. May stop by and ask the shop owner, whom I know.
