OUTFXD Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 Okay, I am sure the answer is in a thousand posts somewhere on the websight. But all I can find is discussion about torque specs on trucks. Decided to pull the rear fenders off Jacquiline. Pulled the hub cap off, grabbed a tire iron and went to town... and nothing happened. Got my buddies Impact wrench and nothing happened. in either direction. It has been.... several decades since I owned a pre-70s MoPar. The last I had was a 69 Barracuda A-body. I seem to remember the driver side lug nuts loosened CLOCKWISE and the passenger side COUNTER-Clockwise. I want to get verification on this before I go whole hog with the Impact wrench. Thanks in advance! Quote
TodFitch Posted February 23, 2022 Report Posted February 23, 2022 The bolts or studs should have an "L" on them if they are left hand thread. Some previous owner or repair shop might have swapped the hubs from side to side in the past: That happened to me on a '63 D200 I had years ago, nearly split a gut trying to get the wheels off until I noticed that. So my advise is, check the studs/bolts for markings rather than going on memory regarding which side should have the left hand threads. 2 1 Quote
