Merle Coggins Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 Good point on the springs. The spacers should pass through the bracket and torque up against the tank flange. This puts torque on the threads keeping the bolts from coming loose, but it won’t allow the springs to compress fully. This allows the rear of the tank to ‘float’ on top of the bracket so that frame flex won’t twist the tank. Quote
47 dodge 1.5 ton Posted March 7, 2022 Author Report Posted March 7, 2022 Glad you mentioned about the sleeve tightens against the tank. I need to look at that a little more. I know the replacement tank nut floats inside a cage, guessing an over sized hole may not allow sleeve to seat correctly on a flat face unless it locks against the floating nut. I would think it may need a longer sleeve. I’ll look at that and report back. Quote
