blueskies
Had to take a day trip for a jobsite visit last week, about 300 miles or so. Drove the '50 because it was a beautiful blue sky day. Left early in the morning, just before sun-up, it was a chilly 32 degrees. Had to kick start my failing heater blower motor, but once it got going it worked fine. My car must think it is a Zepher, judging from the shadow it projects... Stopped along the way to take a couple more pics of the forlorn Desoto that is getting really picked over... The long block six is still there, but just about everything else has been pillaged in the last couple of years. This car sat completely in-tact for as long as I can remember, like it had just been parked there, until the old homestead burned in a brush fire. Once it was apparent that there was no one home, the car started shedding bits and pieces. Cousins... It was a nice day for a cruise, and probably the last I will get before the snow starts to stick. My car will hibernate for the most part from now till spring... Pete

rearview
Looks like a nice day for a drive. Nothing smells like the desert areas when it gets cool out, or during the spring.
PatS....
Looks like the DeSoto was parted rather than vandalized so not a total loss. Your "Cousins" pic looks like the Plymouth is visiting a dear departed relative. Looks like it was a good day for a drive in the old Mopar, Pete. Rodney Bullock
Your car always looks good in the big sky back drop. The color goes well with the sunset. I went for a ride myself today, kind a like saying goodbye to summer and fall. I hope this winter is kind:cool: I may get a couple more good days before snow shuts everything down. The Desoto is a symbol of a time gone by when old cars were a land mark you could give directions from, now they want to crush everything and remove the memory of what was, "go down half a mile or so and turn right at the old blue plymouth" Yeah long time ago;)
PatS....
Pete, your shadow pic reminded me of this. I took this a couple of years ago while driving a friends gravel truck late in the fall, very early morning.
Don Coatney
Been thinking about the terrible winter snows we will soon be getting. Hope they hold off until February or so. Had this blizzard last year. Took this picture when I got up early in the morning. It was just terrible and schools were closed for the day. Lucky for us it cleared up. Next shot was taken around noon or so.

PatS....
Ed, that's a really depressing picture, you know!!!! We had a dusting last night like Don's "blizzard", but it's noon and that crap hasn't melted and there sure aint any green underneath. That reminds me, gotta get some lotto tickets tonight to get me out of this
splat1955
I know what you guys mean. It's not too long down the road before we start having this weather again....although the pics below are from this year...I think in March....man, wasn't ready for this snow. This is my Canyon and the walkway up to the front door after just a few hours.....good thing we have an attached garage.....at least one vehicles is always ready to go. blueskies
It's all relative, I suppose... This is what it will be like here in a few weeks, if the snow gods are smiling down on us... Course, if I need a fix, I'll drive the '50 anyway Pete
