billrigsby Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 As I could not find any of the three, throwout bearing carriers, I know I HAD, with the exception of the fluid drive one. I ordered one from Vintage Power Wagons, but that creates an issue with the bearing supplied by Tennessee Clutch. The carrier pivot points line up perfectly with the fork, but the supplied bearing has over a half inch too small ID? Any idea which part is incorrect? Any one have specs for the bearing? I think it is wrong. Quote
Dave72dt Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 2 different ID's on the carriers? Which one fits on the trans input shaft housing of the trans you plan on using? BCA should have spec. Quote
billrigsby Posted November 13, 2021 Author Report Posted November 13, 2021 Yes the carrier I got from Vintage Power Wagons does fit the transmission, so like I thought the bearing is incorrect. I need one with a 2.054 ID Not sure what BCA is? Quote
Dave72dt Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 1505 brg has a 1.499 id and I think is for the fluid drive. 2065 has a 2.063 id. Check your finger dimension on the clutch. Did you order a fluid drive clutch or standard clutch? Quote
Dave72dt Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 BCA used to make most of the throw out brgs The 2065 brg is fairly common and used on lots of manufacturer's trans. Should be able to order on locally or may be stock. Quote
billrigsby Posted November 13, 2021 Author Report Posted November 13, 2021 Ordered for a standard clutch, and the bearing just barely contacts the fingers correctly. I'll be down in Colorado Springs next Friday I'll stop at Whisler Bearing and get the proper bearing. Quote
billrigsby Posted November 13, 2021 Author Report Posted November 13, 2021 Yes it is very common, I can get it virtually anywhere there's an O'Reilly in Woodland Park locally Quote
billrigsby Posted November 15, 2021 Author Report Posted November 15, 2021 If anyone can use the BCA 1505 bearing I posted it for free in the Classifieds, just pay shipping. Quote
