Guest rockabillybassman Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 As part of my cardio rehab I've been slowly hooking up the motor I rebuilt in my P26. Today I finished, and fired her up, first turn of the key. After a break-in of 1/2 hour, I let her get cold, retorqued the head, and fired her up again, again first turn of the key. This time I went for a quick blast down the road, and back in the shed before any of the neighbours had a chance to call to call the cops. Yippee!!!! Quote
Normspeed Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 In Southern Cal, we might reply, Bitchin, dude! Quote
Brendan D25 Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Sounds like fun, I love doing things like that around the neighborhood, makes you feel like a kid,and I bet you had a big smile on your face. Quote
greg g Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 What process did you use for the retorque that assured it was done aerobically????? You probably should have been hooked back up to the cardiac telemetry thing before your took off doen the road. Getting you heart beat elevated, and then bringing it back down is a sposed to be good for it. I'd say ya done good for your ticker as well as ye cars ticker. Good on ya mate!!!! Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Great to hear, I bet you circled the block like the green hornet:D Quote
Guest Nile Limbaugh Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 You got talent. It usually takes me a couple of days to get the thing started, what with having to redo plug wires, reattache linkages, tune carbs and install whatever I left laying on the floor during the rebuild!! Quote
