jmooner3 Posted December 6, 2020 Report Posted December 6, 2020 I have a set of sun visors, look to be original. Seems the passenger side is rare. I’ve cleaned up the steel to a pretty good luster, pulled the visors off the metal rod, the visor material is a perforated cardboard/ vinyl type material and there was a nasty crumbling wood grain contact paper glued over it. I was able to heat and peel the paper off. I’m curious if these would have been original. The mounting looks like the pics that others have posted. I’m interested in your thoughts on how to refurbish them. Thx. Quote
wallytoo Posted December 6, 2020 Report Posted December 6, 2020 not sure that those are original visors. my '48 has a different set: Quote
billrigsby Posted December 6, 2020 Report Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) The brackets and arms 'might' be original, not the visors, (at least not 1948) again, hard to tell from the pictures, wish we could zoom in. Edited December 6, 2020 by billrigsby Quote
jmooner3 Posted December 7, 2020 Author Report Posted December 7, 2020 Thanks guys. My truck had some desktop car parts so maybe they’re from a desoto, the brackets look like yours and screw holes line up. I’m going to revamp them and make em work. Appreciate the feedback! Quote
B1B Keven Posted December 7, 2020 Report Posted December 7, 2020 (edited) Passenger side was NOS. Looked just like the one Wally posted. Edited December 7, 2020 by B1B Keven Quote
