Broken Thermostat housing stud

I have broken the thermostat housing mounting stud off in the head of my D42 engine. Does anyone know the thread size and how deep the hole in the head is?

3/8" X 16 tpi. Is the bolt size and thread count per inch.

The head thickness where the stud broke off...approximately 3/8" to 1/2" ..Below the stud is just open coolant passage area.
