WPVT Posted October 6, 2020 Report Posted October 6, 2020 (edited) Can someone recommend a source for a complete OEM type exhaust system for a 1954 1/2 ton 218ci Dodge ? I'd like to get as close to the original as possible, quiet, not loud. I know I can go to my local muffler shop, but I'd like to keep as close to stock original as possible. billschwindt Posted October 6, 2020 Report Posted October 6, 2020 Front Range Exhaust down town very good at making it like original. Talk to John. Quote
Tooljunkie Posted October 6, 2020 Report Posted October 6, 2020 I made my own. Bought 10 feet of pipe and an elbow. Reused original flange and welded it together. Had muffler shop bend the section for up and over diff. Think i spent just over $100.00 to do it all. nice and quiet. Quote
Desotodav Posted October 7, 2020 Report Posted October 7, 2020 I had mine custom made to original specifications here in Oz. There is a fella on EBay in Ohio who advertises new truck exhausts often (hope the link works).... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1937-1949-DODGE-TRUCK-6-CYLINDER-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-ALUMINIZED-1-2-TON-MODELS/143630883008?fits=Make%3ADodge&hash=item21711158c0:g:bEsAAOSwuTxV8w94 1 Quote
Havs Posted October 27, 2020 Report Posted October 27, 2020 I used Waldron Exhaust in Michigan. I called them, a real person answers the phone. I told them I wanted only the original y-pipe for my '55 241cid (which runs under the oil pan, single exhaust back out pass side) as mine was rusted out. They sent the part in a few days, and they have complete systems too. I will use them again on future projects. http://waldronexhaust.com 1 Quote
