dodge 1946 Posted August 15, 2019 Report Posted August 15, 2019 A friend of mine just picked up a 1941 Dodge , thinking 1 1/2 ton truck.. He got it running but radiator is leaking. Question is what is involved in removing the radiator?? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted August 15, 2019 Report Posted August 15, 2019 A lot....lol hood and front sheet metal supports(two bars from the firewall) have to be removed and the fan blade and water pump pulley usually, past that my mind is blank. Quote
dodge 1946 Posted August 16, 2019 Author Report Posted August 16, 2019 Thanks for the info, I was thinking the grill assembly would need to be removed..Luckly I never had to remove my radiator on the 46.. Quote

That is not bad at all , the 1/2 tons are like that . There was a thicker military radiator in my 1/2 ton that DID require removal of the front sheet metal , but that is probably not the case for your friends big truck . Quote
48Dodger Posted August 17, 2019 Report Posted August 17, 2019 Stop by the Ranch and take a look at the 39-47's I have here and maybe get a better look at parts and etc..... With with almost 80 years of existence, never know what was changed, welded, funk-a-fied, or frank-a fied. 48D Quote
