Can anyone tell me what kind of seal goes on the bottom of the doors of my P12 Business Coupe? A picture would be awesome. It doesn't appear to me that the same seal that goes around the top and sides would work well. Thanks for your help.

I believe the rubber strip on the door sill make that seal at least it does on my 39 dodge business coupe.

The same one as used on the side and top? What do you do about the drains on the bottom? Looks like it should use some sort of sweep type seal to me but I could be wrong.

As far as I know the original lower door seal was a strip of flat rubber that sandwiched between the door and door panel and hung down . was a sweep type that would have sealed against the original aluminum sill . Do you have your original aluminum sills ? If not I can post pics of mine tomorrow night . I am away til then.

As for my door weatherstrip I glued new onto the door from front bottom corner up and over to the rear bottom corner. Couldn’t match anything up for the deteriorated a pillar draft seal that was fastened with 3 small screws but don’t think that matters too much. My car is a 41 plymouth p11 2 dr sedan factory no wing window sedan. ( el cheapo model )

There was never a seal there... Barely a seal on the hinge side of doors that was held in place, on the body by a thin piece of tin and a couple of sheet metal screws.
