Brad Lustig Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Just flipping through the channels and spotted a black and white movie with a guy jumping into a car. Could've sworn I saw a D24 dash. Watched it for a few more minutes and sure enough, it was a D24. The movie is called "Raw Deal". It's on TCM right now (started at 10:30am ET). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0040723/ Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I bought a DVD while back.."Walk the Line" I know everyone had seen it but me till last night...I saw my 54 Savoy (?) drive by in that movie..but for some really nice old cars, Sylvester Stallone in "Oscar" I still have a huge selection of DVD's yet unviewed by myself..I buy what I might think to a good movie at the pawn shops for 3.00 apeice...cheaper than a rental and never have a late fee or pay for gas to return them..trade them if you don't like it...or throw it away...they are in that list called STUFF Quote

We just check out tapes or DVD's from the local branch of the public library. Totally free, and the branch library is within walking distance if we choose to walk. One of the many advantages of living in the city. We do go to Blockbuster from time to time if we want a more recent movie. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 years ago I pretty much done the same thing..but then years ago I was close to the library..I am at minimum 10 miles from anything...anywhere..anytime...and on the same token, they are that far from me..and that balances out..no noise, no traffic etc etc.. Norm's Coupe Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Tim, Even though I live in the city with lots of people, my neighborhood is also quiet. Many days, like today I really believe if someone dropped a pin several blocks away, you could hear it because it's so quiet. About the only traffic we get is from people who live in the neighborhood, or visiting the residents. I've lived here since 1973 and it's always been that way. Quote
