Jdrew Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 I own a '50 Suburban, would like to keep the side sliding windows. I don't see weather stripping reproduced for these windows, so what is everyone doing on their wagon? Looking for ideas, resources, information. Thanks! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 I had some custom made...extended a shop an example, man made the die, did the extrusion, sent me my rubber and when I told another person seems on asking the man lost the die and evidently gave up on remaking the die it seems..... Ron175 Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 What part of the weatherstripping are you after - the fixed glass section, the sliding glass channel, or both? I was lucky and found that the fixed glass part of the sliding window on my '54 Suburban was good. For the sliding glass channel, I used this: https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/1650/window-channel The glass fits snug and the rubber fits in the channel well with a bit of persuasion. Quote
