casper50 Posted November 9, 2017 Report Posted November 9, 2017 Anyone know what this does? Does it put pressure in the brake lines to activate the brakes with the touch of a switch? Could be bad if it activated at speed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Mopar-AutoStop-Hill-Holder-Kit-1946-1949-Plymouth-1950-1954-Dodge-Chrysler/222712128929?hash=item33daad65a1:g:pogAAOSwR2RaA5KP&vxp=mtr Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 9, 2017 Report Posted November 9, 2017 (edited) you press the brake....energize the lock and it will hold the pressure till you release it allowing you to be able to use the gas and clutch the same on a hill as if on level ground providing a smoother take off...less wear and tear on the clutch and nerves... lot of money for a cardboard box with the factory name on it..just get some line locks as used in drag racing... casper50 Posted November 9, 2017 Author Report Posted November 9, 2017 I don't want it, have no need for it. Just thought it was different. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 9, 2017 Report Posted November 9, 2017 The Stude Commander I had here was so equipped...for a hilly region these devices prevented many roll back adventures. While interesting for sure, and still a kitted boxed item, the novelty ends there. Quote
