Don Coatney Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 That sounds like something I really want to install on my P-15:cool: Quote
Heavy Flat Head Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Where doI buy one. This sounds just what my old gal needs as she waits for her new motor. In the middle of the night I hear her go Vroom! Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Shel, I think I would disconnect that if it was on my vehicle. Or, have the dealer do it if I couldn't. It's like the lock on the hatch of my Lumina van. I've replaced that 3 times and it's broke again. It's really a pain to get that hatch open with the panel on it from the inside because there is no release on the inside. Decided this time I'm taking it to a custom shop and having a popper put in like they do on shaved cars. Already filled up the lock hole. Left the inside panel off for now so I can open the door from the inside until I get to the custom shop. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 If this is the early version..the key has a resistor built in..the wire that leads from the ignition switch gets broken due to age...results is no start...as there are but about 8 resistor values..you can read the value of your key..drop the lowr panel..cut the two little wires going to the ignition and solder a resitor of the same value in place. Car will start and run but no longer has the pass key feature...20 minutes and 1.75 for the reistor at about any RS... Now if it is a later version then igonore ALL the above as I have never messed with them.... Quote
