Cannuck Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 Hi again . On to my next problem ,I recently installed signal lights in my 48 dodge .I have them working but the front lights are very dim. They are a wagner 64 bulb,I wasn't sure if the bulb was the fault or a poor ground.I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks Quote
wldavis3 Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 Cannuck You should be using #1154 bulb (or similar) which is a dual contact, dual off-set pin bulb. This means that you will have to replace the bulb sockets of the parking lights and change them from the factory single contact, dual pin bulb. 1 Quote
Cannuck Posted July 21, 2017 Author Report Posted July 21, 2017 Thanks for your quick reply the Wagner 64 is a dual contact bulb I have already replaced the bulb sockets .The wagner 64 is a small bulb which I thought I needed for the front park light due to the fact that the original bulb was small . So i tried the larger bulbs from the rear park light and presto they worked fine . I will be ordering the larger bulbs tomorrow . I think they are the 1154 bulb. Thanks again Quote
desoto1939 Posted July 21, 2017 Report Posted July 21, 2017 aLSO MAK SURE YOU HAVE A GREAT GROUND AT THE SOCKET OR SIGNAL CONNECTION COULD RUN A SPERATE GROUND FROM THE HOSUING TO THE FRAME. RICH HARTUNG 1 Quote
