51Meadowbrook Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Question does the bearing part of the throw out bearing pressed onto the sleeve? Or do I have to buy the sleeve and bearing all in one piece ? Quote
DJ194950 Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Yes it just a press fit and really not all that tight. You can remove it by using a socket that matches closely the OD of the sleeve. Install is also easy with a vise just align the two parts in the vise and tighten. If yours is still a greasable type make sure to align the small notch in the hosing and the similar spot in the bearing. Your year however does not have a greasable type sleeve and bearing from the factory it is a sealed type. Just mentioned in case. Bearing should be avail. locally as it is not that special. Take the used one to a good full stocked parts store as they should be to help you. Best, DJ 1 Quote
