Plymouthy Adams Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 This is found in the lubrication and maintenance section of your manual. The grade and frequency are both there. Quote
Branded Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 What type of oil should be used in the lubrication of our generators and starters? Manual says 5-10 drops of light engine oil every 10,000 miles or once a year. 2 Quote
mopar_earl Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 I use 3 in 1 oil in the generator, distributor and speedometer. Also on my column shift rod bushings. Earl 1 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) 3-in-1 oil has been my experience prone to promote gumming.....I personally like to use air motor oil usually the Cambell/Hausfeld brand as it is a 10 wt. oil, closest I can find to what we knew in the military as instrument grade oil...I also use this for my industrial sewing machine with the built in oil pump and lubrication system Edited June 19, 2016 by Plymouthy Adams Quote
