dale Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 What is a fair price to have the windshield installed. I have the gasket and glass. Thx, Dale Quote
desoto1939 Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 call around to several automotive glass installers and get their estimates. Hard to put an exact figure also might contact a local auto body shop since they might have some good references. They might even have a person that would work under the table that does the work for them via a major company. If you do it your self it will take two people to do the job. so you might want to state to the installer that you will assit them and then they do not have to fire a second person. choptop40 Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 Most modern glass shops have no experience...check around you local clubs.....that's the pull string method...use bar soap to lube the string.....May be on utube Quote

stan's52 Posted December 20, 2015 Report Posted December 20, 2015 I found a older guy working out of his house doing glass work. He cut my glass. He said he can help me put in my glass if needed. Not many around who put in glass anymore in older cars. Most of it is glued in. Almost a lost art. Someone else said ask around town in auto shops, body shops. You will probably find someone.
