Pulley Wobble

After nearly 35 years the 218 came to life in my 1941 P11.  Everything is going great with it.  I have put a few miles on it but would like to drive it more.  The crankshaft pulley wobbles and i really don't want to drive it a lot until I get this repaired.  Mine is the stamped steel pulley.  The 218 is out of a 1952 Plymouth.  I was looking through the "store" here on this website and they have a pulley and hub listed for the 218/230.  My question is will this work for my application or they not interchangable.  I use the wide belt, about 5/8 wide.  I know I could try to straighten it out and I may end up going that route but not sure yet.

the engine is internally balanced..either set up will work...you should be able to just remove your pulley and press it flat

When I had my 41 Plymouth I had issues with the front pulley, the rivets that held it onto the front hub had started to allow some movement in the pulley so after 1st trying to use bolts to attach it to the hub and finding that there wasn't enough clearance with the bolts I got out the stick welder and welded the pulley to the hub in equidistant spots around the hub/pulley edges...as I was eventually going to replace the 201 with a 230 and various other upgrades I wasn't overly concerned about its longevity, however it seemed to work fine and as I have sold it now I can't give a followup account but I'd be pretty sure its still going fine...........dunno if this helps..........andyd
