Cm3112 Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 I have a 47 Plymouth and the stock wheel was destroyed when I bought the car. I bought a 1950 Dodge wheel for $30 figuring that it should work. Well I went to swap the wheels today and apparently the input shaft for the Dodge was a hair larger than the Plymouth. Looks like the Plymouth is 5/8" shaft. Does anyone know if a 46-48 Chrysler wheel will work? Or are there any other wheels that could work on the stock Plymouth shaft? Just not a big fan of the Plymouth wheel. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 the big sisters Desoto and Dodge and Chrylser share components...I would think not..if you had run a search of the forum, this has been discussed here before and would have told you that they do not match.. Quote
Cm3112 Posted September 13, 2015 Author Report Posted September 13, 2015 Thanks, I did search and I guess I didn't search correctly Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted September 13, 2015 Report Posted September 13, 2015 If you look in the classified section , there might be one there . Also you can post a for sale item there for the Dodge steering wheel . There is also a WANTED section . Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 They appear fairly regularly on eBay. The prices have jumped way up there on the ones for sale today...... You need to watch them over a period of time for a better buy.......if you have time to do so. Quote
