I am in the progress of putting my car back to gether after 6 years of work and is wondering about  anti squeak,Do you need this now when the roads are flat and much better than when these cars came out from the plant. What can be used ,Any thoughts and opinions are greatly apreciated.

Looks just like what i used when i made my wiring harness ,it is allso used for hockey sticks .I bought mine in a sports shop.Is this thick enough to do any good,The old stuff that i peeled of when i took the car apart was close to a millimeter thick.

You should use it.  The panels anti-squeak goes between are held together with nuts, bolts, and other fasteners, rather than welds more modern cars use.  That means the panels move.  Metal on metal squeaks and rattles, hence the anti-squeak.  It also helps seal between panels and eliminates the metal on metal wear.  I bought a roll from Andy Bernbaum over 20 years ago.  More than enough to replace all the anti-squeak on our D24, with much left over for other projects.  Don't know where you're located, but I haven't been in a State yet that has a high percentage of what I'd consider good roads.

Thanks for your replys i live in sweden and we have fairly good roads ,but i see the point in using anti squeak and will do so.I think i can get material that are used to make tarps and such stuff that are used for wheather protection on trucks, and i think that it can work for this purpose.Whats your opinion?

Anders
