RobertKB Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) I just had my engine rebuilt for my '51 Dodge business coupe project. It had one of those "rat bait" blocks put into the engine by the rebuilder. When I first put in antifreeze there were a few places that weeped a bit with the worst being around the two long bolts helping hold on the exhaust manifold. After running the engine a couple of times, all leaks stopped. Any shop that rebuilds engines should be able to supply you with some. I asked the rebuilder if it was like Bars Leaks and he turned his nose up and said this product was way better and to avoid Bars Leak if possible. Edited November 24, 2015 by RobertKB Quote
William Davey Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 Never had any civilian use for it, but once used a product called Devcon to repair a cracked diesel generator exhaust bellows on a submarine. Might be worth a try. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 This is one type of maintenance sealer tablets that are used on a lot of new car cooling systems.... I use em on cooling system normal maintenance jobs. Some are liquid type in a 1/4 pint bottle. These are NOT a block sealer or cooling system sealer...NO....NO bad idea.! Quote
