Dartgame Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Hi all - I was curious about the trim used on the 51 and 52 plymouth business coupe rear quarters. Are they the same length as on a 2 club coupe, 4 door or a wagon ? I am sure the fast backs are different from I have seen. Any help is appreciated. I need a new or good used fender spear for one of the quarters on my 52 bus coupe. Thanks Quote
JerseyHarold Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 1951-1952 Plymouth rear fenders and trim are the same for the business coupe, all models of the four door sedan and club coupe, convertible, and the Belvedere 2-door hardtop. Station wagons and fastback are different. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 fast back (concord) are quite long by approx. 2 inches, these I have an abundance of.....station wagon are definitely different as Jersey says....51/52 the location is a tad lower in the second year..tell me you have wagon trim and need to trade it for Concord...lol Quote
JerseyHarold Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 ....51/52 the location is a tad lower in the second year..tell me you have wagon trim and need to trade it for Concord...lol The '51-'52 are the same. The 1950 Plymouth has the same fender except for the trim mounting holes being about 1/2" higher to accommodate the thicker fender trim that year. After 1952, Mopar replacement fenders were made without trim holes so you could drill them at whichever height you needed. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 51 and 52 were the same trim piece on the P23 but...onece again. mounted lower than the other between the two years... Quote
JerseyHarold Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 I stand corrected....I've got a '51 and '52 here so I compared both cars and Plymouthy was right, the '52 fender trim is mounted lower than the '51. Live and learn! Quote
