Hey all, not sure if this is limited to the C series pickups and later, but my 55 Fargo, has a 4 spd T 98 Acme trans made by Borg and Warner, same as the T 98, used by Ford and Jeep well into the 80s.

So let me know if any of the US built trucks have this trans.

I do know that  a lot of the late 40s into the 50s Dodge truck used the New Process 435 trans.

These are all rugged transmissions, the T 98, is only 2nd to the Muncie SM 420 Rock Crusher.

the np435 was used in dodge trucks even later, into the 90s behind the 318.  however, most dodge versions were a close ratio transmission, instead of the wide ratio used in drof.  the drof np435 is better than the t-18.  lower first gear (6.68), and lower reverse (8.27).  the more common dodge version used a first gear of 4.56.  i put one (drof version) into my jeep cj years ago.

I think the B-series trucks used the NP-420 series transmission either spur gear up through 1950 and syncro 3rd and 4th gears 1951 to at least 1953.
