ACJCF2 Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Wanted to introduce myself. I just recently finalized a deal on a '49 Dodge Coronet "more door." I don't have pics yet as I won't pick up the car till sometime in April. Meanwhile, I am absorbing information on these vehicles like a sponge. I currently have '54 Ford Customline Fordor that is up for sale. I've been helping a close friend of mine with his '48 P-15 Coupe for number of years and love it so the opportunity came to make the switch and I've taken it. If this group is half as friendly as the 54 Ford bunch, I'm in good company. Thanks, Jim 1 Quote
joey4420 Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Welcome to the family. Just got my 46 and I enjoy every moment with it. Can't wait till spring or when Ohio is salt free on the roads. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Hi Jim....Welcome. Lots of knowledge here. A couple of things you can do early on --- learn how to use the forum search feature to read previous posts on questions you might have....many topics on basic stuff that have been answered numerous times. Also you can find a Service/Repair manual and parts manual on eBay. So..... Enjoy your New ride. Bob Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Like Bob says, get a shop manual now and you will understand a lot better what you are looking at when you get it. Welcome to the group, you'll be glad you moved up from a ford to a real car. Quote
ACJCF2 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Report Posted February 28, 2015 Thanks, trust me, that will be an immediate purchase. I have been sourcing them. Quote
