RobertKB Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) The car is likely an export Desoto based on the Plymouth body. The 1946-48 export Desoto SP15 was the same. It was really a P15 with Desoto trim just like the Canadian Dodge D25 is a Plymouth with Dodge trim. Here are some pictures and info on the SP15. http://www.allpar.com/old/diplomat.html and https://www.flickr.com/photos/8021817@N07/3756516519/ 1948 Canadian Dodge D25 Edited February 4, 2015 by RobertKB Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) Where is that car at? My daughter's boyfriend is moving to Joplin tomorrow and I would bet he would get a kick out of that car. Edited February 5, 2015 by plymouthcranbrook Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted February 5, 2015 Author Report Posted February 5, 2015 When I took these pics a few years ago, it was sitting at an auto shop with a for sale sign in it. It didn't sell, so the owners took it back home to Neosho. Don't know who they were, where they live, or if they still have the car. It was purchased in Japan, I believe, by a military serviceman who brought it home. Quote
