MarcDeSoto Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) here are a couple of videos taken from 1940s home color movies that bring the 40s cars back to the present like I haven't seen, not even in movies: You've got to see the booty in the billboard ad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ1kOrGNQ-8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfqeDVXyy0c Edited December 25, 2014 by MarcDeSoto Quote
Don Coatney Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 Easy to spend hours on YouTube. Found this video full of misinformation. This guy knows nothing about fluid drive and it appears he really needs a brake adjustment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVIZTBusERQ This video gives a good explanation of the internals of a fluid coupling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm8EHTTNPEg Quote
_shel_ny Posted December 25, 2014 Report Posted December 25, 2014 I like this one with Jimmie Lynch putting some Dodges (more than one used to make the clip) through some paces that I would not Quote
MarcDeSoto Posted December 26, 2014 Author Report Posted December 26, 2014 Thanks, Don for that excellent video on Fluid Drive! but I don't think my 48 DeSoto has that fluid oil cooler and lines. Mine is sealed tight. As for the that other video, I'm not surprised that even owners don't know how their semi-automatic transmissions work, or what the difference is between just Fluid Drive as in a 41-48 Dodge and Prestomatic semi-automatic with fluid drive! Also thanks for the Jimmy Lynch link. What an incredible driver!!! Quote
