The Bubble Car started life as a 1948 Plymouth 4 door sedan that we sliced, diced and re-welded into this one-seater runabout to bring out the true essence of the car. Top speed is just over Mach One. Steve earned 1st place with the Bubble Car at the The Kingston Artist's Soapbox Derby in 2003. I don't think the Fusion claim is quite correct, Looked more like John Deere and Briggs and Stratton to me. But the buggy did have what looked like a 57 chevy instrument pod and a cup holder. My sister in law lives out side of Kingston, NY. His store studio is located near Hunter Mountain Ski Area. Happened by it on the way to visit once, the fellow is very clever and obvioulsy talented with a torch, welder, grinder and paint gun. Quote
