Hello all,

My name is Melton Hawkins and I have been reading posts for some time, I have recently aquired a 38 Plymouth that I will eventually rebuild from the ground up. My experience includes several years as a technician and several years teaching Auto Tech. I look forward to learning more from you all and appreciate what I have already gained. Thanks in advance. I will post pictures as I have time.

Are you calling it the .38 Special?

Any pics of the '38 Plymouth?

Ok I had a chance to grab a couple of pictures so here they are. I'll blame brain flatulence for calling it a 38. it's actually a 39. I haven't made a lot of decisions yet other than it'll need a new floor pan and the body will remain as stock as possible.post-6234-0-99478400-1399682132_thumb.jpgpost-6234-0-43992500-1399682152_thumb.jpg

Yup certainly a 39 and its a special. The beltline trim on the roadking(cheaper model) doesn't go all the way to the rear. You also have the first model with column shift. If you have the larger humpback trunk its a touring sedan otherwise just a sedan.

Yes thats the touring sedan. The reg sedan the back is completely flat.
