Definitive Rubber list

When in come to weather stripping gaskets and seals there seams to be a wide range of choices out there none of them real cheap.

It seams to be the majority opinion  from what I gleaned from this site, that when it come to the split windshield Steele Rubber  PN 40-0332-50 at 165.00  is worth the money.

But what about the rest.  Will I have to search and read  hundred of pages on each rubber part on the truck to save a buck and get a good fit ?

Some things on Steele’s list seam out of touch price wise. Putting a total set out of reach for a lot of us on a budget. (INSANE DEFINED When you spend more on window rubber than you paid for the truck.

Has any of our experts developed a most bang for the buck list, for the rest of the rubber parts with the least amount of complaints, and fits right without  having to form it ,piece it together, and without breaking the bank. I realize it will most likely take one of the site experts to compile this list because the way the reply's go on without a real end, and I know the site has sponsors but they should each make the cut on at least few things.  If we had all the money back we wasted on rubber that did not work right we all could have saved another Pilothouse Dodge

One thing for sure that seamed High was Vent Rubber going for 150.00 and that does not include the divisional seal   add 15.20 more total 155.20 for a pair of  windows that a total of 2 Square ft

With the exception of the Steele Split Window Rubber, I'd save myself a lot of grief and just let Gary Roberts tell you what you need. Everything I received from him fit real fine and was top quality IMHO (with the exception of the front windshield). How soon do you need these parts ? I built up my inventory a little at a time to ease the pain $$$.

I bought my front and rear window seals from Steele, along with the door seals. Everything else came from Roberts. I'm happy with the quality I received from both.

For the fender fillers, vent gasket, and door seals, gas fill grommet what I got from Roberts was fine.  The windshield gasket could have been wider to cover more of the flange, but all this stuff has been in there for many years now and held up very well.  Mike
