Yea you can basically build a ford or a chevy out of a magazine and the fact that you see them all the time makes me not really pay much attention to them, id much rather my '52 PH. As far as parts go here are a few suppliers:

http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/store/

http://www.oldmoparts.com/

http://www.oldpickupparts.com/

http://www.horkeyswoodandparts.com/

And as always theres Ebay and Craigslist. Ive also gotten quite a few things from the great guys on this site. Tim aka "48dodger" has PH parts and Keven aka "B1bKeven" does a great job on gauge restoration and speedo fixing, those are just a couple of guys that come to mind first. But theres countless others that are always willing to help, thats what makes this site so great.

No problem, ive also had decent luck with being able to get mechanical parts at places like NAPA, i think rock auto has parts too. I forgot to mention in my last post that heres a link to a disc brake conversion kit for these trucks, i think it fits up to 1 ton models but im not 100% sure on that. I believe the maker of the kit is a member on here and his name is "oldaddy", ive talked with him through email before and he seems like a real nice guy.

Will NOT fit 1 ton models, not sure about 3/4 ton but forsure not the 1 ton as I had to buy a new 1/2 ton axle to make my kit work. The spindle size is too big and nobody could even find an intcherange for the bearings or seals to work.
