Chester Brzostowski Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 My car was painted in October of 2010. The paint came out great but as time went on I had problems with the primer pushing up dimples in the finish coat. The painter really stood behind the job he did and I just received back the car today after 3 weeks in the shop. The painter sanded the car back down to the metal, new primer, and multiple coats of finish paint. We used a black primer to darken the paint color. The car came out pretty close to perfect. Painter did all this at NO CHARGE to me. Only in rural America. !!! It doesn’t get much better then this: Back to the body belt. Chet… 2 Quote

RobertKB Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Looks great! Glad to know there are some people out there that are honest and do the right thing. A lot of places would have put you off forever in the hopes you would go away. Your painter is awesome! Please let him know. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 Hi Jim, I have been enjoying the car but the good news now is that I can finally put all the stainless on and finish this car complete. Then I can start on my 29 Plymouth. Robert, You are right. It's nice to know that there are people on Main Street that have good value sets, then we have Wall Street. Mom & Pop lumber yards have completely disappeared or given way to mega stores like Home Depot & Lowes. Nice at first but once the competition is gone the consumer is screwed. Then you have Wal-Mart.., Ok ok i'll stop. Thank God I have a Napa store by me with counter help who retired from the auto repair business. They actually know where things are without the computer and also have a machine shop in the back. Chet... Quote
DJ194950 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Good to know some real craftsmen still out there! Someone who's finished product they care about and their reputation. Getting very very hard to find here in Ca. My local Napa still puts up with their PITA old car parts customer. Now that the car is mostly completed they all still reconize me and are nice to the old fart! The best for help is an older woman who hands down knows with a brief discription what i'm looking for and gets it often without looking at her computer! I say good on her! As for the big box home repair places, I always go first to a local Ace or true value to get some help if needed from someone who actually has a clue even if it will cost more! Doug Quote

It's good to see some people know the value of doing a good job and standing behind it. Quote
