Bob_Koch Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Harvey Suhling asked me to post this. Thought you all might enjoy it. I agree, but I wouldn't do this to my truck. They don't make trucks, or drivers, like they used to...fun to watch... CLICK ON OILFIELD DODGE 1920 Quote
41/53dodges Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 This video came up awhile back, amazing what those old cars would go through! To answer, I may abuse my pickup a bit, but not like that! Quote

HanksB3B Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 I was amazed when they rolled in onto the roof and it didn't collapse and then the door windows rolled right up and they were on their way. To answer your question, NO. Hank 1 Quote

MBF Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 I think that if I rolled a vehicle like that the last thing I would worry about is whether or not the windows rolled up. That old plate glass would do a lot less damage when left down in the doors. Quote
Dan Babb Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Wow...I'd think twice before driving my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as hard as those guys drove that old Dodge. Edited October 7, 2013 by Dan Babb Quote

To answer your question, NO. Hank I think that if I rolled a vehicle like that the last thing I would worry about is whether or not the windows rolled up. That old plate glass would do a lot less damage when left down in the doors. That was my favorite part. I love that they rolled it onto the roof and all the way over to get it righted because that was the downhill side and easier than just standing it back on its wheels. The vehicle showed a lot of structural integrity. The fenders were dinged up a bit from all that tumbling, but the roof looked great. Quote
rkldesign Posted October 20, 2013 Report Posted October 20, 2013 I too was smiling and laughing as I watched that film. It just goes to show us all that they really built strong cars back then. I took the front and rear bumper off my Route van yesterday and was amazed how heavy they were. I told my son that I would hate to see the Prius after it hit my rear bumper. And he said I would not even feel it it did hit me. Richard Quote
